Do you measure up for free?

Yes. Booths Flooring offers a free, no-obligation call out and measuring service anywhere in Burnley. We come to you, measure properly, talk through the options and leave you with a quote. There is no charge and no obligation to buy.

Call 01282 534102 to book a time that suits you, or call into the showroom on Trafalgar Street and arrange it in person.

Do you cover my area?

We supply and fit flooring across Burnley and the surrounding towns, roughly a twenty mile radius of the showroom. That includes Padiham, Brierfield, Nelson, Colne, Barrowford, Barnoldswick and Earby, across Pendle and the Ribble Valley to Clitheroe, Whalley and Great Harwood, and south and west to Accrington, Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Bacup, Blackburn and Darwen. We also travel east to Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, and north to Skipton.

If your town is not on that list it is still worth asking. Call 01282 534102 and we will tell you whether we can get to you.

Can I get samples before deciding?

Yes. Come into the showroom on Trafalgar Street and we can sort you out with samples to take home and look at in your own light, which is rarely the same as showroom light. Carpet and flooring both look noticeably different at home.

What is the difference between laminate, LVT and SPC?

Laminate is a photographic layer over a fibreboard core: the cheapest of the three and warm underfoot, but it swells if water sits on it. LVT is vinyl in plank or tile form, fully waterproof, softer and quieter to walk on. SPC has a rigid stone-polymer core under a vinyl surface, so it is waterproof like LVT but much harder, hides an uneven subfloor better and dents less.

For a kitchen or bathroom, choose LVT or SPC. For a bedroom on a budget, laminate usually makes more sense.

Which flooring is best for a kitchen or bathroom?

Anything fully waterproof: LVT, SPC or sheet vinyl. These cope with spills, steam and mopping without swelling at the joints. Laminate is not suitable for a bathroom, and only works in a kitchen if spills get cleared quickly.

Which flooring is best with pets or young children?

LVT and SPC are the most forgiving: waterproof, scratch-resistant and wipe clean. If you would rather have carpet, look for a bleach-cleanable synthetic fibre rather than wool. Several of our carpet ranges use Carefree bleach-cleanable fibres for exactly this reason: they take cleaning that would ruin a wool pile.

How do I work out how much flooring I need?

Measure the length and the width of the room at its widest points, including doorways and alcoves, and multiply the two. Every product page on this site has a calculator that does it for you and gives a price for that room.

For anything that is not a plain rectangle, let us measure it. Rooms are rarely square, and a measurement that is out is expensive to put right once flooring has been cut.

Do you deliver, and where to?

We deliver across mainland Great Britain. Deliveries to the Highlands and Grampian carry a surcharge, and we do not deliver to Ireland or Northern Ireland. Goods must be signed for by someone aged 18 or over.

Delivery is usually to your external front door. Where access will not allow it, the driver may only be able to reach the nearest ground floor point, which can mean the kerbside, and drivers cannot carry items up flights of stairs. Larger items may need someone on hand to help unload.

Should I book a fitter before my flooring arrives?

No. We strongly advise waiting until your order has arrived and you have checked it before booking a fitter or landscaper. Deliveries can be delayed or split across days, and we cannot cover installation or labour costs caused by a booking made too early.
